2018 FSAA General Membership Meeting – Help Direct Our Future

We need your voice and input at our annual open board meeting this year. Please plan to join us on Saturday, January 6th, 2018 to direct your volunteer Board of Directors and The Ford Family Foundation staff. RSVP here!

Once a year we invite all Ford Scholar, Ford Opportunity Scholar, and Ford ReStart Scholar Alumni to join us at our January FSAA Board of Directors meeting in Portland. We choose Portland each year because the highest quantity of alumni live in and around this city. As we grow, we are considering hosting our meetings in various communities. If you want to host the next meeting in your community, let us know!

This year, the Ford Family Foundation is providing more financial support to the FSAA than ever before. Because of this, the FSAA Board of Directors decided to no longer make direct appeals to our alumni for monetary donations. This is exciting! It means the Board of Directors can now prioritize efforts around the mission of the organization and meeting your needs, instead of asking you for money.

But with this new change, we still need something from you…your voice and ideas! We have hired a professional facilitator who focuses on helping boards and organizations on becoming dynamic and effective at meeting the needs of their members. This is one of the ways YOU can help the Board of Directors focus on the future of this organization by sharing your thoughts about FSAA’s priorities and how we can best be of service to our members.

DRAFT Schedule (may be revised)
10:00 – 11:00 – Introductions, summary of the past year, overview of the board and committees
11:00 – 11:30 – Networking break
11:30 – 12:45 – Introduction of facilitator and working lunch (lunch is provided)
12:45 – 1:00 – Closing remarks and conclusion of meeting
