On April 7, current and newly elected board members for the Ford Scholar Alumni Association met in the Eugene office of The Ford Family Foundation.
The FSAA board continued the work that began in the January meeting with facilitator Chris Tebben. The five-hour meeting included discussion of best practices for board governance and decision-making, as well as transitioning from an operational to a strategic focus as a board. The board identified strategic priorities for the coming year based on alumni feedback at the January meeting and from the online alumni survey. Those priorities included: strengthening the board governance model, developing a segmented member engagement strategy, launching an online platform for alumni networking, and creating a plan to deliver professional development content to members.
If you are interested in serving on a committee to advance these priorities, please contact Bonnie Williams, Manager of Scholar and Alumni Engagement, at bwilliams@tfff.org.
